Reports coming through onto Boom Uganda News desk state that Mr. Achileo Kivumbi, the head of security at The National Unity Platform Headquarters has been abducted.
According to our sources, Mr. Kivumbi was abducted on Thursday evening by heavily armed men, moving in a car, Noah Registration Number UAP 164P as he approached his home at Nansana.
The source further revealed to us that Kivumbi was beaten to a pulp as the armed men dragged him into the vehicle and drove away to an unknown destination.
“Just learnt of the violent abduction this evening, of comrade Achileo Kivumbi, the head of Security at the National Unity Platform Headquarters. Apparently, several heavily armed men, moving in a Noah Reg. No. UAP 164P trailed him and manhandled him as he approached his home.
They immediately started beating him up as they dragged him into the vehicle and drove away. His pleas to inform his family members fell on deaf ears. He has been taken to an unknown destination. We do not know what state he is in right now given what onlookers describe as an extremely violent abduction. The criminal regime continues to violate every human right there is in the book,” Bobi Wine posted.
“**URGENT: Immediate Release of Akileo Kivumbi**
To whom it may concern,
We are writing to express our grave concern and urgent plea for the immediate release of our brother and friend, Akileo Kivumbi, this evening Akileo was forcibly taken by armed men, who we believe to be security operatives. They abducted him, strangled him into their vehicle, and drove away to an unknown location.
We implore the relevant authorities to investigate this abduction and ensure Akileo’s safe and immediate return. Akileo is a beloved member of our community, and his sudden disappearance is causing immense distress and fear among his family and friends.
Please help us bring Akileo back home safely. We stand united in seeking justice and the protection of our loved ones,” singer Lyto Boss posted on his socials.
“Achileo Kivumbi has been abducted by military personnel in UPDF uniform next to his area of stay at NANSANA,” Eddie Mutwe posted.
