Leave Sheebah Alone – Cindy Comes to the Defense of Her Nemesis

Cindy Sanyu has stepped up to support her rival, Sheebah Karungi, urging critics to allow her to savor her experience of motherhood.

In a recent interview with a local YouTuber, the King Herself expressed her joy for the Neyanziza singer, stating that motherhood is one of the finest experiences a woman can have.

Cindy also addressed accusations that Queen Karma does not desire to have children. She explained that many assume that singers cannot have babies as it could hinder their careers, adding that she faced similar comments before welcoming her child.

Furthermore, the Boom Party singer mentioned that people often believe it’s challenging for entertainers to set aside their fun lifestyles to focus on family. Regarding their rivalry, where Cindy claimed she surpassed Sheebah Karungi due to her family, the dancehall artist rejected this notion.

She remarked that for them, it was strictly about music, and the other competing narratives were propelled by fans. Moreover, she feels that she and Sheebah have never been on the same level since she considers herself superior.

“I’m truly thrilled for her as motherhood is the greatest blessing anyone can receive. I also want to ask the critics to leave her be so she can relish this moment. She has shattered the barriers that suggested she couldn’t give birth. People believe it’s tough for us to set aside fun and focus on familial responsibilities.”

“Nevertheless, her becoming a mother doesn’t place her on the same plane as me. I think we’ve never been equal. Even during the rivalry, it was just about music for us. It was the fans who introduced other discussions about who owns a house, who has a husband, and so forth,” Cindy expressed.

About her song “Monica,” which features Jackie Chandiru, Cindy clarified that it is not about Sheebah. It reflects the experiences of many married women who face challenges with slay queens taking their partners.
