Samuel Kakande Church

Veteran self-proclaimed prophet, Samuel Kakande, recently launched his multi-billion Temple Mount Church of All Nations, formerly known as the Synagogue Church of All Nations. Situated in Kubbiri, Mulago, this church is a state-of-the-art facility that has left many amazed.

Construction of this massive structure began in 2020 and took four years to complete, culminating in its unveiling this month. The church can accommodate approximately 25000-30000 people, making it not only one of the largest churches in East Africa but in all of Africa as well.

This church serves not just as a place of worship, but also provides hospitality services. It features about 100 hotel rooms designed with heavenly inspiration, primarily aimed at offering accommodation to both the congregation and tourists who wish to stay at the church. However, it is rumored that these rooms are not free and come at a cost.

This impressive building surpasses the size and beauty of several government and private facilities within the country, including hotels. Reports suggest that this church was completed at a cost of billions of shillings.

Most of the funding was sourced from the congregants and through specific services provided by the Pastor, such as special prayers and anointing oil, among others. During the church’s unveiling, President Museveni attended as the guest of honor.

Museveni mentioned that this was his second visit to Kakande’s church, noting that he observed the pastor claiming to possess special healing abilities. He indicated that the government would be interested in these claims.

“Regarding the healing aspect, this is my second time here. The first time, I witnessed Pastor Kakande healing certain individuals. Now I’ve returned again. We will be taking a closer look at your healing,” President Museveni stated.

“I want to commend your church on the construction of this remarkable worship center.

Pastor Kakande might not recall, but I visited your previous, dilapidated location many years ago. So, I extend my congratulations to you,” he continued.

Museveni also emphasized that one of his government’s fundamental values is respect for and promotion of religious freedom. However, he urged religious leaders to avoid exploiting their congregants or risk incurring punishment from God, referencing figures like Bisaka and Kibwetere from Western Uganda.

In the meantime, Kakande disclosed that his church attracts nearly 1,000 new worshipers from various African countries, such as DRC and Zambia. Kakande, who has claimed to perform various miracles, is among the richest pastors in the country.
