Gen Salim Saleh Chases Musicians From Gulu in an Open Letter

Gen Salim Saleh

The coordinator of Operation Wealth Creation, Gen. Caleb Akandwanaho alias Gen Salim Saleh has chased musicians and events promoters away from Gulu who had made it a habit to flock to his home there.

In a short letter written on a notebook piece of paper, Gen. Saleh instructed presidential advisor and singer Eddy Kenzo to coordinate them.

The General who is also President Museveni’s younger brother said that these individuals had started flocking to his home for Christmas festivities shows. And in doing so are interrupting his work in northern Uganda.

“Presidential Advisor @creatives and President Uganda National Musicians Association. Please handle the musicians who are flocking to Gulu for Xmas festivities shows. They are interfering with my work in Northern Uganda,” the note signed by the General that looked rather unofficial read.

It should be noted that the region had become a hub for many people in the entertainment industry to flock. The trend started during the COVID-19 pandemic when the General extended a financial helping hand to the sector.

From musicians, promoters, comedians among other entertainers, they all started running to the General in Gulu. It was from his influence that associations such as the UNMF were formed.

However, it seems like he’s had enough of them especially since most of them run their to ask for financial support. Most of them have been going there unofficially but now have to go through Eddy Kenzo.
