Musician Patrick Mulwana aka Alien Skin has spoken to the media for the first time after being released from Luzira Prison.
In a press conference held at his home in Makindye, the Sitya Danger singer revealed how he’s prepared to convert to Islam as well as run for the position of Lord Mayor for Kampala.
He said that being in prison had him reflecting on his life and living it in an Islamic way will be the best for him. The singer pointed out that when he came to Court on Monday in a turban, that was a sign of the new faith he wants to take.
According to Alien Skin, he will reveal the reason for converting to Islam once he has undergone the process. On the very day he converts will be the day posters signalling his campaign to run for Mayor are put up.

“I’m going to convert to Islam. I think you all saw me when I came wearing a turban to Court on Monday. That was a signal that I’m going to convert. Once I do this, I will reveal the reason why I have changed my faith. I think I will either go to Kibuli or Old Kampala and take a shahada. After that, posters announcing my candidacy for the post of Lord mayor for Kampala will go up,” he said.
Surrounded by a mammoth of his fans, the singer was showered in herbs to wash bad omens off him of going back to prison. Alien Skin also laughed at his haters who have been claiming that he’s a faded and forgotten artist.
