Police have dispersed Alien Skin’s fans who had gathered at Makindye Magistrate Court to show their support during his court appearance.
They came in huge numbers and were all fighting to get in court to hear what the judge had to say about his case.
Alien Skin was last week remanded to Luzira Prison on robbery charges.
Alien Skin’s arrest came hours after a video clip which circulated on social media, showed his group attacking security guards and medical staff at Nsambya Hospital, with the “Sitya Danger” singer appearing to endorse their actions.
The footage sparked outrage on social media, leading many to demand police action.
It wasn’t long before authorities confirmed that they had arrested him.
In a surprising development, instead of facing charges for assaulting hospital staff as many had anticipated, he was charged with stealing an iPhone 15 Pro worth Shs3.5 million, Shs480,000 in cash, and a wallet containing the national ID, all belonging to a one, Salim Mubiru.
The singer denied the accusations, and in response, the State prosecutor Henry Twinomujuni told the court that the investigations into the matter were complete but requested an adjournment.
In response, the trial grade one magistrate, Esther Adikini remanded the singer until December 9, when the case will be mentioned again.
