United Kingdom (UK) based Ugandan singer Papa Cidy has declared himself gay.
Papa Cidy took people by surprise when he posted saying that he is tired of hiding the real him and even dragged famous Pastor Robert Kayanja of Miracle Centre Cathedral, a megachurch in Kampala, along to be part of the LGBTQ community.
Uganda lately signed an anti-homosexual bill and being gay is illegal in the country.
Those that fall in that category don’t have any rights in Uganda and the lucky ones end up leaving the country to go and stay abroad where they will exercise their rights and freedom.
By the time Papa Cidy left the country, he was still an artiste and he identified as a straight man. There weren’t any issues or even rumours that he was gay.
Even for the time he has been out of the country, no one was paying attention to him after all celebrities always move to look for greener pastures.
He posted on social media and confirmed that he is gay and he doesn’t have any shame of being the person he is.
“Am tired of hiding myself its time to be out.Pastor KAYANJA ebyaffe obimanyi. Miracle Centre Cathedral 🏳️🌈,” Papa Cidy confirmed.
