Singer Ibrahim Mayanja also known as Big Eye Starboss is bitter with the Uganda Musicians Federation over their obsession with State House.
Big Eye claims that they are obsessed with the state house money. He says, that instead of focusing on helping the industry get the copyright law, they are focusing on individual benefits.
The singer said they are all choosing to beg for money over the dying music industry which they said that they are reviving by starting up a federation.
Big Eye from the beginning didn’t like the federation. He wasn’t happy that Eddy Kenzo assumed the presidential position.
The two were friends but later turned enemies for unknown reasons. Big Eye even started supporting the opposition where he has managed to find his voice.
According to the singer, he doesn’t think that the federation is up for the good especially when dealing with the current government.
Big Eye said that musicians should know that they are on their own no one is fighting for them like they are portrayed in the media under the federation.
“I don’t know why we even need to start thinking that the federation is going to help us. They are focused on their egos that I clearly know are not helpful to anyone else apart from them. I think the federation needs to tell Ugandans the truth about their motives,” Big Eye.
