“Artistes Can’t Make it in Life Without Promoters,” Promoter Balunywa Gives Stance

Events promoter Juma Balunywa claims that Ugandan musicians need to start respecting promoters more because they can’t make it in life without them.

He said that as promoters, they play a very big role in the successful career of artistes although they are disrespected and looked down like they can’t do anything.

The Balunywa issued this statement following the fight between Nobat Events and Wessel which left the promoter’s teeth down and musicians decided to go quiet about the incident.

Balunywa is one of the respected promoters in Uganda although some musicians don’t mind about the promoters. They only go to them when they need help and once that is done, they call it deal done and move on.

The promoter said they are also going to steer disrespecting the artistes so that they can see how much it hurts and how disrespectful it is for an artiste to misbehave.

He added that Weasel is going to pay for what he did to Nobat Events in one way or the other.
