Political and social commentator Frank Gashumba praised singer Dr. Jose Chameleone for rejecting Bobi Wine and his team from visiting him in the hospital at Nakasero, where he is currently receiving treatment. Bobi Wine, King Saha, and Nubian Li were not allowed access to see the singer.
Gashumba believes this was a clever decision from the Katupakase singer as the NUP leader was looking for attention. He likely intended to take photos to ensure the news would focus on him visiting the singer.
The self-proclaimed businessman urged the Firebase leader to take some of the funds he receives from the government and cover Chameleone’s medical expenses abroad if he is truly concerned.
“Chameleone was absolutely right to send that fool away. Bobi Wine is deeply malevolent and was only interested in taking photos for the news; his visit wasn’t sincere. If he genuinely cares for Chameleone, he should take some of NUP’s government budget to pay for Chameleone’s treatment abroad,” Gashumba stated.
In addition, Gashumba criticized the current wave of crude music inundating the industry. However, he attributed the responsibility to the Uganda Communications Commission, which is responsible for regulating the content broadcasted on television and radio.
Gashumba noted that the musicians themselves weren’t the issue but instead pointed to the Uganda Communications Commission for failing to do its job. He also observed that some individuals were defending Gravity and Lil Pazo based on Dexta Daps’ concert.
Gashumba contended that this event was attended solely by those 18 and over and was not broadcast on any radio or television.
