As the crackdown on indecency heats up in the Ugandan music industry, several individuals have started to get pointed out by the public. Among these is dancer, Ritah Dancehall who has now come out to defend herself over the allegations of being indecent.
Taking to her Snapchat, Ritah said that a lot of artists perform when are almost undressed with their private parts on exposure. She even challenged haters to check Galaxy FM’s social media pages for reference in regards to these artists.
She challenged anyone who has ever seen her thighs exposed to come out and bring the video. Ritah said that it could probably be that people hate her because she has a nice body.
Additionally, she said that people are just witch-hunting her to make her fail to work but she’s not indecent.
“Many Artist perform when there thighs are outside, nebatulaga embalakaso na’mabina check @GalaxyFMUg ever babakuba ebifananyi.
“Have you ever seen my thighs or body outside if not swimming pool or beacher Iwaki munemesa obulamu is it bcz i. Have a nice body. MUNDEKIE
“Mwagala kunzinza mukyalo Naye sili omu ku basanyusa abantu nga amabiina gayita bweruuuuu i DOT DRESS NAKED,” she said.
Indecency both in dress code and vulgar lyrics has become a normalized thing in the music industry in the past couple of months. It, however, seems like the relevant authorities and the general public have teamed up to put an end to this degeneracy.
