Gen. Nalweyiso Proscovia has opened up about her involvement in the arrest of former Ugandan tycoon Sipapa.
Lt Gen Nalweyiso denied the allegations saying she didn’t know anything about the socialite’s arrest.
Sipapa was arrested a year ago and charged with theft. He was accused of stealing millions of money in cash and gadgets from a South Sudanese citizen who was in Uganda for business.
The moneybag hasn’t been sentenced he was charged and is still fighting the case with the help of his lawyers. Before his arrest, Sipapa was a big supporter of NRM and was even rumored to be working with the government on different projects.
The fact that he wasn’t educated and didn’t have a proper job but always had money to spend on people luxuriously, there was always a question about his money.
According to Gen. Nalweyiso, she doesn’t think Sipapa had a specific job in government. He was a supporter and that is all.
Nalqweyiso clarified that she was never involved in the arrest and up to now she is not involved in his care by any means.
“I want to clarify that I was never involved in the arrest of Sipapa,” Gen. Nalweyiso.
