Uganda female singer Karole Kasita has finally opened up on theories that she has for a long time been using drugs.
While speaking to Boom Uganda, the “Nkuba Yaka” denied ever using drugs in her life, especially in her music career.
Kasita said that she is determined and very focused on her career because she knows the dangers of drugs.
In Uganda, the music industry is struggling so much because of drugs. Some musicians have lost their lives due to misuse of drugs. Others have lost their careers and are even in the streets begging because they indulged in drugs and forgot about everything.
According to Karole Kasita, she has seen so much and doesn’t want her life to end up like the lives of those because of drugs.
Kasita said that, as a mother, she wants to serve as a good example to her child and wants to raise him like she was brought up by her parents.
“I have never used drugs and I don’t wish to use them or any other person. It destroys life for good and even pushes people off their careers to the street and begging for money for food and other basic needs,” Kasita told Boom Uganda.
The singer advised the young musicians not to be lied to when it comes to using drugs and everything surrounding it.
