Former socialite and big spender Sipapa’s lawyers have opened up about the details of his case and the likely verdict.
The socialite has been in prison for over a year now on charges of theft. He is said to have stolen millions and gadgets worth millions of money.
He is accused of having stolen the money from a South Sudanese citizen who was residing in a Kampala Suburb known as Bunga.
According to the lawyers, their client didn’t steal anything and the government doesn’t have any evidence showing that he stole anything.
Yesterday they had a court session where another witness gave a testimony. The lawyers Henry Kunywa and Suzan Wakalaba said that they examined him and he wasn’t consistent with the answers which gave them some confidence.
According to the lawyers they are sure that Sipapa will be acquitted in this case because he is innocent and he will be back in the real world with his family and children.
“Sipapa is doing well and patient in prison. We have had a court session and we are confident that he will be acquitted. There isn’t any evidence that shows he committed any crimes. We are very hopeful that everything will go as planned,” Lawyers said.
