National Unity Platform (NUP) President Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu also known as Bobi Wine has accused the former Leader of the Opposition in Parliament Hon Mathias Mpuuga of being used by President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni Tibuhaburwa to undermine the People Power Movement.
The bitter fall of opposition leader Bobi Wine and Hon Mpuuga has now escalated with Bobiwine accusing President Yoweri of orchestrating a grand plot to dismantle the opposition by infiltrating its ranks and manipulating its key figures.
Bobi Wine asserted that Museveni’s government has been covertly working to undermine his People Power movement by using former opposition leaders to tear it apart from within.
“We are now fully aware that the government is using our former Leader of Opposition in Parliament to register People Power as a political party. He gave him money and had to start the process two years ago when he was still LOP and deputy president of the movement.
The regime is not just attacking us from the outside but from within, using our own to orchestrate an implosion within NUP_Ug,” Bobi Wine
Bobi Wine added that Museveni’s strategy is one of divide and conquer, systematically fostering divisions and splits within the opposition.
